LED – Spotlights (PAR 20,30,& 38 ) Series
The pot light style of bulb is one of the most used styles in lighting today. It is also one of the highest consumers of electricity per bulb. With halogen PAR series bulbs regularly consuming over 50 Watts each, a room with 10 pot lights is consuming 500W per hour. In one year of operating at just 4 hour per day those bulbs will consume 730kWh of electricity. At a rate of $0.12/kWh that is $87.60/yr. Replaced with 10 – 6.9W LED bulbs and it is only $12.09/yr. Remember that LED bulbs will last 40,000hrs or 27 years in our example of 4 hrs per day. An investment in LED lights is very wise.
